The mobile application Familiprix - My Pharmacy and the online health profile will offer customers the option of having a new prescription filled by sending a photo of the prescription to their pharmacist. Also available will be refill forms (medical follow-ups) and receipts for income tax purposes. In addition, files from another pharmacy chain can be transferred online to a Familiprix store. “With renewals now available directly via the application or health profile, the wait at the pharmacy will be much shorter, enabling patients to consult with their pharmacist more quickly,” explained Éric Savary, Director of Innovation and E-business for Familiprix.
“Familiprix - My Pharmacy has been designed with patients in mind,” continued Mr. Savary. “To prevent oversights and ensure continued good health, they can customize their reminders via e-mail, text messages or push notifications, consult drug information leaflets, learn about side effects and dosages, and receive alerts before a prescription expires in order to proactively schedule their next appointment with their doctor.”
To activate their health profile or access a prescription renewal, patients will simply need to ask their pharmacist for a temporary user name and password. The customer can then access the application online and on iOS and Android mobile devices. All of the necessary steps have been taken to ensure user confidentiality and security.
