Mr. Henry is a patient of yours. He is 79 years old. He has a prescription for Prevacid® 30mg oral capsules. He complains that he has difficulty swallowing these capsules. Is there any alternative method of taking Prevacid® capsules by patients who have difficulty swallowing?
Geneviève Duperron Pharmacist owner affiliated with Familiprix

There is a product called Prevacid Fasttab dissolving on tongue.  If he is insured with public insurance, the physician could mâle a request to have it covered without any extra cost since he has problems to swallow regular capsules

The pharmacist is solely responsible for the answer.
