How long after stopping my pill for my period and restarting after my period does it become effective?
Geneviève Duperron Pharmacist owner affiliated with Familiprix

Just be careful, if your periods last longer than the seven days without pills, the contraceptive effect will be lost if you start another pack just after your periods.  If you have been taking the pill for more than one month and you respect the length of not more than 7 days without hormone, the pill is effective all month long starting with your second package

The pharmacist is solely responsible for the answer.
