What action does Homatropine have when added to hydrocodone. It is in the cough suppressant my husband was prescribed and I can’t find any information on it in other than “it works against the hydrocodone to prevent overdose” What does this mean exactly? Does it cause nausea? Headache? Or simply reduce euphoria? I’d like to know what it does and why it’s added. Thank you in advance.

it could reduce cough a little bit, but it is in a very small dosage with hydrocodone in Hycodan syrup, mainly to prevent peopleto use too big doses and have overdosage:  it would prevent miosis and reduce risk of respiratory depression by being fixed on muscarinic receptors in your body
