What does it mean when a prescription says "ends on.....(date)"?
Geneviève DuperronPharmacist owner affiliated with Familiprix
There are some type of medicine (lets say mostly sleeping pills or against anxiety) that we are allowed to renew only for one year after your physician gave you a prescription even if you had repeats left, so the "ends on ..." would be to advise you. Otherwise if your physician instead of writing 12 repeats wrote 1 yearor 6 months there will be a date on your prescription
