The perfect cocooning day for your skin
The skin is the largest organ of the body. Sometimes it cooperates, sometimes not so much. Sometimes you love it, sometimes you are irritated by it. One thing is certain, though: the skin is your shield. Why not treat yourself to a moment of cocooning from time to time to thank your skin and give it some TLC?
No makeup day
We recommend from time to time to let your skin breathe with a makeup-free day. For some people, this may not be as obvious due to work, social commitments or stress, but try to give yourself a day to yourself—maybe a time when you don't have to leave the house or have no commitments. Do your skincare as usual, but skip all cosmetics and let your skin breathe and glow.
Exfoliation or detox mask
One way to clean your skin is to cleanse it well and then proceed with an exfoliation or a detox mask. Exfoliation will cleanse your skin more deeply, remove dead skin and dirt, and above all, work on its texture. If you are used to exfoliating, you can opt for a detox and/or purifying mask. Follow the instruction carefully for the best results. You’ll notice that your pores will tighten, and your complexion will glow. That said, you should never exfoliate and do a mask at the same time. Doing both can irritate your skin.
Moisturizing mask to restore skin radiance
After cleansing and exfoliating, it's the perfect time to give it a soothing moment with a moisturizing mask. These hydrating masks are ideal after a day in the sun or a "deep cleanse" because it replenishes your skin with nutrients and ingredients to moisturize and strengthen it. We suggest you avoid dyes and fragrances; these are unnecessary ingredients in your products, and above all, they can irritate many, especially if you have sensitive skin. There are sheet masks that work faster, but don't last as long. Make sure you use your mask on the face, neck, décolleté and/or the eye area. Masks in jars last much longer and tend to moisturize and soothe much more deeply.
The face is fine, but what about the rest of the body?
The skin on your face is subject to the most irritation, pollution and problems because this area is almost always exposed. That's why it's so important to take good care of it and protect it. But don't forget the rest of the body. It, too, could benefit from some care! Again, exfoliation is the way to go because it will give you an immediate effect. You may be familiar with body scrubs, but we suggest you also try dry brushing. You dry brush your entire body with a natural bristle brush with varying degrees of firmness. Using up and down movements with this brush will free your skin from dead cells. You then move on to the bath/shower and finish with your favourite body balm or moisturizer.
Sure, you could very well book an afternoon at a spa to experience a relaxing moment, but sometimes there's nothing better than staying at home. Taking care of yourself isn't that hard; it's just a matter of finding some time and really letting yourself go!
