1. CONTEST PERIOD
The “Carlton with Familiplus” contest (hereinafter referred to as the “Contest”) is held by Familiprix inc. (the “Organizer”).
The Contest takes place in participating Familiprix store locations from July 13, 2023, at 9:00 a.m. Eastern Standard Time (EST) to August 9, 2023, at 9 p.m. (hereinafter referred to as the “Contest Period”).
Throughout the Contest Period, a total of 4 prizes can be won, each valued at $1000 in Familiplus points, representing a total value of $4000 in rewards points (100,000 points x 4).
2. TERMS OF ELIGIBILITY AND PARTICIPATION IN THE CONTEST
To enter the Contest with an eligible transaction
To participate, during the Contest Period, the Participant must:
- Be a member of the Familiplus program, or join for free on the same day through one of the following options: at a participating store location (via the POS system), on the “My Familiplus” mobile application, or at (https://www.familiprix.com/en/familiplus).
- Present their Familiplus card (plastic or virtual card) during the transaction.
- Carry out at least one eligible transaction involving 2 or more Carlton and/or Papyrus branded cards during the Contest Period at a participating Familiprix store. The purchase receipt must be kept by the Participant and presented, upon request, to the Contest Organizer. Each qualifying transaction gives a new entry into the draw. A transaction is considered eligible if at least one (1) Familiplus point has been accumulated and/or redeemed during purchasing a product from the Carlton and/or Papyrus brand.
- Not be one of the following:
i) An employee of Familiprix Inc.
ii) A Familiprix-affiliated member (pharmacy).
iii) A Familiprix retailer.
iv) A Familiprix representative.
v) One of Familiprix's promotional or advertising agencies.
vi) An employee of one of the persons or companies listed in ii), iii), iv), v) or
vii) Anyone living under the same roof as any of the persons or companies listed in i), ii), iii), iv), v) (in particular a father/mother, brother/sister (including brother-in-law/sister-in-law, half-brother/half-sister), son/daughter, or spouse).
- Be a resident of one of the following Canadian provinces: Québec and New Brunswick.
- Be of legal age of majority in their province of residence as of July 13, 2023.
- One entry per person and per 2 products purchased (Carlton and/or Papyrus brand).
To enter the Contest without making an eligible transaction
To enter without purchasing any Carlton-branded product, during the Contest Period the Participant must:
- Be a member of the Familiplus program or join the Familiplus program through one of the following options: at a participating store location (via the POS system), on the “My Familiplus” mobile application, on the Familiprix website at the following address: https://www.familiprix.com/en/familiplus.
- Send us a legible, handwritten letter of at least 50 words explaining why you want to win. The letter must include the Participant's contact information (first name, last name, telephone number and Familiplus membership card number, if applicable). The letter should be signed and sealed and sent in an envelope with sufficient postage to:
“Carlton with Familiplus” Contest, 6000 Rue Armand-Viau, Québec City, Québec, G2C 2C5, no later than August 9. 2023 at 4:30 p.m. (EST), the postmark will serve as proof of the date sent. The Participant will automatically be entered into the draw once the letter is validated. Only one mail-in entry per Familiplus member will be accepted.
- Not be one of the following:
i) An employee of Familiprix Inc.
ii) A Familiprix-affiliated member (pharmacy).
iii) A Familiprix retailer.
iv) A Familiprix representative.
v) One of Familiprix's promotional or advertising agencies.
vi) An employee of one of the persons or companies listed in ii), iii), iv), v) or
vii) Anyone living under the same roof of one of the persons or companies listed
in i), ii), iii), iv), v) (in particular a father/mother, brother/sister (including brotherin-law/ sister, half-brother/half-sister), son/daughter, or spouse).
- Be a resident of one of the following provinces of Canada: Québec and New Brunswick.
- Be of legal age of majority in their province of residence as of July 13, 2023.
- Only one entry per person and per 2 products purchased (Carlton and/or Papyrus brand).
3. PRIZES
The Contest will include 4 prizes worth $1000 in Familiplus rewards points. This represents 4 x 100,000 Familiplus points to be drawn, for a total value of $4000 in rewards points.
4. TERMS OF THE DRAW, DETERMINATION OF THE WINNER AND CLAIMING A PRIZE
Potential winners for the Contest Period of July 13 through August 9, 2023 will be selected on the draw date set forth above, by random electronic draw from among all eligible entries received during the Contest Period. The draws will take place on August 16, 2023 at approximately 10:30 a.m. (EST) at the Organizer's office, located at 6000 Rue Armand-Viau, Québec City, Québec, in the presence of the Organizer's representatives. The Organizer’s decisions regarding this Contest will be final and without appeal for all Participants.
The odds of being selected for the prize depend on the number of entries received during the Contest Period.
The Organizer will contact the potential winner immediately after the Contest draw, by telephone (or by email or by mail if no answer by telephone). The potential winner will have a period of
In order for the potential winner to be declared a winner, the potential winner must comply with all requirements set forth in these Official Contest Rules, including but not limited to:
- Have complied with all the Contest’s entry conditions.
- Have provided their full name, contact information and valid proof of identity.
- Have completed and signed the Declaration and Exoneration of Liability Form within fourteen (14) days of being sent said Form.
- Submit and correctly answer the following mathematical skill-testing question: 5 x 2 + 8 – 3 = ?, which is reproduced in the Declaration and Exoneration of Liability Form.
In the event that the potential winner does not respond to the Organizer by the end of the Contact Period deadline, or that it is impossible for the Organizer to reach the potential winner using the contact details provided at the time of entry into the Contest, or if the potential winner fails to comply with any of the Contest requirements, or the potential winner does not accept their prize, such potential winner will be deemed to have waived their rights to claim their prize. The Contest Organizer shall have the right, at its sole discretion, to select an alternate potential winner from among the remaining valid entries, or to cancel the prize. In the former situation, the other potential winner will be contacted according to the procedure indicated above, except that a new contact deadline of SEVEN (7) business days following the date upon which they were contacted by the Organizer will be granted. If no potential winner is declared an official winner within 14 days of the draw date, the prize will be forfeited.
Before being declared a winner, any entry form selected must be verified by the Organizer. The winner agrees to accept the prize as awarded, and the prize is not transferable or redeemable for cash or otherwise.
No substitutions or cash payments will be permitted.
Upon fulfillment of all of the above conditions, the Organizer will ship the prize to the winner within fifteen (15) days of written confirmation from the Organizer that the potential winner has won the prize. The delivery time may vary slightly depending on the shipping carrier's delivery times.
