Agamree 40mg/mL suspension
This medication contains an anti-inflammatory drug from the cortisone family (corticosteroid). Typically, it is used for Duchenne muscular dystrophy.
Instructions
This medication is typically used only once a day. However, your pharmacist may have suggested a different schedule that is more appropriate for you. Important: Follow the instructions on the label. Do not use more of this product, or more often, than prescribed.
To be effective, this product must be mixed well. Shake the bottle several times before using the medication. Measure each dose with an accurate measuring device, such as an oral syringe. You should take this medication at approximately the same time each day.
If you forget a dose, take it as soon as you remember -- unless it is almost time for your next dose. In that case, skip the missed dose. Do not double the next dose to catch up. This medication may be taken with or without food. However, taking this drug with food may help with some adverse effects.
Avoid grapefruit and grapefruit juice during your treatment. Grapefruit can seriously affect how this medication works.
Side effects
In addition to its desired action, this medication may cause some adverse effects, notably:
- it may increase your appetite;
- it may cause headaches;
- it may cause stomach ache;
- it could make you more prone to infections;
- it may affect your mood;
- it may cause vomiting.
Each person may react differently to a treatment. If you think this medication may be causing adverse effects (including those described here, or others), talk to your health care professional. He or she can help you to determine whether or not the medication is the source of the problem.
Storage
Keep this product at room temperature until the expiration date. Once opened, keep it refrigerated and discard any unused portion after 3 months. To remain effective, this product must be kept in its original packaging. Do not transfer it to another container.

This medication may interact with other medications or supplements, sometimes significantly. Many interactions, however, may be dealt with by a dosage adjustment or a change in medication schedule. Check with your pharmacist before using this medication in combination with any other medications (including non-prescription products), vitamins or natural products.

Taking this medication during pregnancy may be harmful for the baby. Women of childbearing potential should use an effective contraceptive method.
