Cuvposa 0.2mg/mL oral liquid

This medication is typically used for excessive salivation. Its effects can be felt within 1 hour.


This medication is typically used 3 times a day. However, your doctor or pharmacist may have suggested a different schedule that is more appropriate for you. Important: Follow the instructions on the label. Do not use more of this product, or more often, than prescribed.

To ensure exact dosage, measure each dose with an accurate device, such as an oral dosing syringe. If you remember missing a dose within 2 hours of the time it is usually taken, take the missed dose as soon as possible, unless a meal has been consumed within the past 2 hours or if a meal will be consummed in the next hour, then take the next dose at the regularly scheduled time. If the dose is missed by more than 2 hours, skip the missed dose. Do not double the next dose to catch up.

This medication should not be taken with food. It is best taken on an empty stomach, one hour before or 2 hours after a meal.

Side effects

In addition to its desired action, this medication may cause some side effects, notably:

  • it may cause blurred vision and dryness of the mouth;
  • it may cause constipation -- to prevent this, drink plenty of water or juice, and eat more dietary fibre;
  • it may dilate the pupils and cause blurred vision;
  • it may cause palpitations (rapid and strong heart beat);
  • it may cause drowsiness -- use caution when driving.

Each person may react differently to a treatment. If you think this medication may be causing side effects (including those described here, or others), talk to your doctor or pharmacist. He or she can help you to determine whether or not the medication is the source of the problem.


As with most medications, this product should be stored at room temperature. Store it in a secure location where it will not be exposed to excessive heat, moisture or direct sunlight. Keep it out of reach of young children. Once opened, the product must be used within 60 days. Any unused portion should be discarded.

Additional Information

This medication can cause you to sweat less and a heat stroke can occur in the presence of high ambient temperature. Avoid exposure to hot or very warm temperatures.
