Myalepta 5.8mg inj.powder
This medication is typically used for excess abdominal fat tissue. It requires a few weeks to take effect.
Instructions
This product must be injected under the skin (subcutaneously). Do not shake the container before use. To use:
- once diluted following the manufacturer instructions, mix gently by rolling the vial between the palms of your hands;
- measure the prescribed dose carefully with a syringe;
- clean the skin at the injection site with an alcohol swab;
- pinch the skin and inject the medication into the fold
Wait at least one week before injecting the same site again.
Dispose of used syringes and needles safely. Your pharmacist can tell you the best way to do this.
This medication is typically used only once a day. However, your pharmacist may have suggested a different schedule that is more appropriate for you. Take it regularly and continuously to maintain its beneficial effects.
Important: Follow the instructions on the label. Do not use more of this product, or more often, than prescribed. If you forget a dose, the injection should be administered as soon as possible, then continue with the next scheduled dose as planned.
It is not advisable to stop using this product suddenly, particularly if you have been on it for several weeks. If you are considering stopping the medication, talk to your pharmacist first.
Side effects
In addition to its desired action, this medication may cause some side effects, notably:
- it may cause headaches;
- it may cause stomach ache;
- it may cause unusual tiredness;
- it may cause nausea or, rarely, vomiting;
- it may cause low blood sugar levels, which could make you feel dizzy, shaky or weak;
- occasionally, it may cause weight loss.
Each person may react differently to a treatment. If you think this medication may be causing side effects (including those described here, or others), talk to your health care professional. He or she can help you to determine whether or not the medication is the source of the problem.
Storage
Keep this product in the refrigerator and do not allow it to freeze. Make sure that any leftover portion is disposed of safely. To remain effective, this product must be kept in its original packaging. Do not transfer it to another container.

Taking this medication during pregnancy may be harmful for the baby. Women of childbearing potential should use an effective contraceptive method.
A treatment with this medication requires regular monitoring by a doctor. Be sure to see your doctor for all regularly scheduled appointments.
