Natesto 4.5% nasal gel
This medication is typically used for hormonal problems. It requires a few weeks to take effect.
Instructions
This product is to be applied into the nostrils. To use:
- blow your nose to clear your nostrils;
- advance the tip into a nostril;
- tilt the actuator so the tip touches the inside wall of your nostril;
- slowly push down on the pump until it stops;
- remove from nose while wiping tip to transfer gel to the inside wall of your nostril;
- repeat the operation for the other nostril;
- press on the nostrils at a point just below the bridge of the nose and lightly massage;
- avoid blowing your nose for 1 hour after your dose.

This medication is typically used twice a day. However, your pharmacist may have suggested a different schedule that is more appropriate for you. Apply it regularly and continuously to maintain its beneficial effect.
Important: Follow the instructions on the label. Do not use more of this product, or more often, than prescribed. If you forget a dose, simply skip it and then apply the next dose at the regularly scheduled time. Do not double the next dose to catch up.
Side effects
In addition to its desired action, this medication may cause some side effects, notably:
- it may cause headaches;
- it may alter your sense of taste;
- it may increase your blood pressure;
- it may cause nasal dryness;
- it may cause nasal discharge;
- it may cause nosebleeds.

Storage

Children and pregnant women must avoid direct contact with a zone of application not washed or not covered with a garment.

Pregnant women should not use this product. If you're planning a pregnancy or become pregnant, contact your family doctor. Pregnant contacts should also be protected from exposure to the medication.
