Neffy 2mg/0.1mL nasal spray
This medication is typically used for the emergency treatment of severe allergies. Its effects can be felt within a few minutes.
Instructions
This medication must be easily accessible at any time.
This product must be administered in one nostril only. To use it:
- Remove the spray device from its packaging;
- Hold the device with your thumb on the base of the plunger and one finger on each side of the nozzle;
- Insert the nozzle into one nostril, keeping it upright and pointing upward inside the nose;
- Spray the dose into the nostril while avoiding sniffing.
The effect is short-lived. If an allergic reaction requires its use, call 911 or the nearest hospital emergency service as soon as possible.
IMPORTANT: Each bottle contains only a single dose. Do not waste any of the product by spraying it in the air as a test.
Make sure that any leftover portion is disposed of safely.
Generally, this medication is used only as needed.
Side effects
In addition to its desired action, this medication may cause some adverse effects, notably:
- it may cause headaches;
- it may cause dizziness - use caution when getting up from a lying or sitting position and use caution if driving;
- it may cause nasal discharge;
- it may irritate your throat.
Each person may react differently to a treatment. If you think this medication may be causing adverse effects (including those described here, or others), talk to your health care professional. He or she can help you to determine whether or not the medication is the source of the problem.
Storage
As with most medications, this product should be stored at room temperature. Store it in a secure location where it will not be exposed to excessive heat, moisture or direct sunlight. Do not allow it to freeze.
