This medication is typically used for an excess of phosphate in the blood. Even though you may not feel its effects, this medication takes effect after a few days.

Instructions

This product must be used according to the instructions provided by your pharmacist. For more information, read the instructions in the package carefully.

This medication is typically used 3 times a day. However, your pharmacist may have suggested a different schedule that is more appropriate for you. Take it regularly and continuously to maintain its beneficial effects.

If you forget a dose, simply skip it and then take the next dose at the regularly scheduled time. This medication is more effective if taken with food. Always take it with a meal or a snack.

Side effects

In addition to its desired action, this medication may cause some side effects, notably:

  • it may cause diarrhea;
  • it may cause indigestion;
  • it may cause gas and bloating;
  • it may cause nausea and vomiting.

Storage
