Familiprix receives Enfant Soleil Diamond certification

Familiprix is honoured to have received Entreprise Enfant Soleil – Diamond certification awarded by Opération Enfant Soleil, the highest distinction provided within the charity’s philanthropic certification. This new certification, launched in November 2017, is for committed companies ready to invest themselves to help complete numerous projects designed to support children’s health in Québec. For Familiprix, which has been supporting Opération Enfant Soleil for 25 years now, it is a very meaningful certification.

“For us, the Entreprise Enfant Soleil certification is a way to optimize our corporate commitment to the organization,” said André Rhéaume, Familiprix’s Vice President of Marketing. “Familiprix is concerned about the plight of sick children and continues its humanitarian commitment to Opération Enfant Soleil year after year. Receiving this certification is another confirmation of the example we’d like to make, both to our pharmacist owners throughout Québec as well as to their employees, but also to other companies. We encourage them to initiate more local and national initiatives in order to make a difference”.

As a major partner of Opération Enfant Soleil, Familiprix sits on the organization’s board of directors in addition to its significant financial contribution and substantial logistical help. Over the years, thanks to a number of national initiatives and its pharmacist owners’ continued involvement, Familiprix has donated more than $13 million. More specifically, this money has enabled many sick children to benefit from Opération Enfant Soleil’s help, including through contributions made to large paediatric centres, various hospital centres and to regional organizations throughout Québec.

The Significance of Being an Enfant Soleil Company

For 30 years, Opération Enfant Soleil has been dedicated to raising funds to support the development of quality paediatrics in Québec. The organization continues to innovate by launching the Entreprise Enfant Soleil certification.

“It is a philanthropic seal to distinguish the companies that stand out with consumers within our organization,” explained Anne Hudon, CEO of Opération Enfant Soleil. “The certification is not just about funding. It comes with responsibilities, particularly those of informing employees about the Parent Soleil program, to proudly display the Entreprise Enfant Soleil colours, and help organize fundraising activities. It is a powerful partnership in which everyone’s a winner…especially the children!”

“For Familiprix, our collaboration with Opération Enfant Soleil is first and foremost a matter of heart! The children represent the collective future of tomorrow’s society and health is our banner’s primary concern,” added Albert Falardeau, Familiprix’s President.
