Stéfanie Ouellet robotizes its two laboratories to better serve its customers
Pharmacies Stéfanie Ouellet has implemented an automation system. Each of its laboratories now has a robot offering counting technology, in order to maintain a personalized human approach. Access to the health professional will be increased and customer service will be faster thanks to automation. This investment in state-of-the-art technology aims to optimize productivity in the laboratory and facilitate the shift to new health services offered in the pharmacy.
"Robots in the pharmacy will not replace the humans who provide an essential relationship with customers, but the robots will serve our team, which will be able to concentrate on other value-added tasks," said Stéfanie Ouellet, pharmacist-owner of Pharmacies Stéfanie Ouellet. "The pharmacy is an evolving local health access, it is essential to innovate to ensure the development of our health services offer," she adds.
Lab automation improves the efficiency of pharmacy technicians and pharmacies so they can spend more time with patients. This technology also adds a safety benefit by significantly reducing the possibility of errors related to counting or selecting molecules.
Pharmacies Stéfanie Ouellet chose the CountAssist, a robot offering a high-performance, reliable and safe counting technology distributed by McKesson Canada that is fully compatible with Familiprix prescription management software.
