Shingles vaccination
Shingles is the reactivation of the chickenpox virus which causes a very painful localized rash. The vaccine is highly recommended for people over 50 years of age, and it can be obtained at our pharmacies. If you are a resident of Quebec and meet the eligibility criteria for free (over 71 or immunosuppressed over 18), make an appointment in the "Shingles vaccination-Free" service. Please note that the province of New Brunswick is not funding this vaccine.
General vaccination
The vaccination service provided for in the Quebec Immunization Program is covered free of charge by the Quebec health insurance plan. It allows the pharmacist to prescribe and administer vaccines from this program free of charge to anyone aged 6 or over. A nurse employed by the pharmacy can also administer the vaccines. If the vaccine is not covered by the program, you may be charged for both the vaccine and its injection.
COVID-19 vaccination
The COVID-19 vaccination campaign is supported by the government but carried out in collaboration with pharmacists. In Quebec, appointments are made via the Clic Santé platform. By using the “Book an appointment” button below, you will be redirected to this website. You can choose the COVID-19 vaccination service there and, using your postal code, identify a participating location near you.
Shingles vaccination - free (Quebec only)
Shingles is the reactivation of the varicella virus which causes a localized and very painful rash.
