A glass of juice to your health!

One of your favourite drinks is juice? Congratulations! A new study evaluating the benefits of antioxidants demonstrated that a diet rich in juice reduces the risk of suffering from Alzheimer disease and other diseases linked to the ageing process.

Antioxidants are natural chemicals that decrease cell damage caused by free radicals and ageing. It is believed they help preserve good health and protect against many diseases associated with ageing.

But remember that not all juices are created equal! Cloudy apple juice, purple grape juice, grapefruit and cranberry juices are rich in antioxidants, more specifically in polyphenols. Polyphenols are very powerful antioxidants that are also abundant in red fruits and green leafy vegetables.

Think before you drink: make healthier choices. By replacing sodas and other sweet drinks with 100% fruit juices, not only will you be cutting your sugar and calorie intake, you will also positively contribute to the sound ageing of your entire system. Juice is a refreshing and great tasting drink with tons of vitamins! Cheers!
